At the Legacies of Leadership conference last November, we took a personality test and sorted ourselves into groups according to our style of leadership. “North” was aggressive, “South” was cooperative, “East” was detail-oriented, and “West” was imaginative.

What would you do if an activist dressed as Santa Claus asked you what you were going to do about global warming?
You wouldn’t ignore him. But if votes were at stake, would you announce to your constituents that you were in favor of a carbon tax?
Sure, people will find ways to dodge taxes on emissions, but those people should not be discouraging candidates from sharing their plans with us.
