Here at Mount Holyoke, most of us are oblivious blissfully unaware of our Division 1, co – ed institution attending friends’ obsession in March, March Madness. While I am an avid follower of MLB and the idea of creating brackets, betting on schools and watching hours after hours of college basketball does not entice me one bit.
In the spirit of March Madness, MTV has created a bracket I will actually enjoy watching the outcome of. Band vs. Band, the ultimate showdown. While 65 bands will begin, the question remains, who will be the last band standing? Fans vote for their favorite band in a head to head match up dwindling the bands down till there is a champion.
Who knew that Tokio Hotel would have beat out Coldplay or that The White Stripes would oust OK Go in the second round? ( You GO Jack White!) Whatever the case, which ever band is your favorite this is definitely a fun on going bracket to keep your eye on.
This week, its Vampire Weekend vs. Tokio Hotel, Owl City vs. MGMT with a couple of others to vote on as well. Who do you want to win? Vote and make it happen!
