I agree with Robert Wright’s opinion piece in the NY Times that we should not lose sleep because Toyotas have been found to be unsafe. I also agree that not all people who own a Toyota car will be in an accident or experience sudden acceleration. However, just because the percentage of people actually experiencing a problem with their Toyota car is low, does not mean that actions should have not been taken. Recall was the best choice and I believe that more action should be taken to secure the safety of all cars. I will not end this by saying go ahead and buy a Toyota because I believe they are not fit for safety at this moment in time.
